free from: dairy, gluten, caffeine & refined sugar (vegan, paleo and Low FODMAP friendly)
This vegan golden mylk latte features my favorite spice: turmeric.
Turmeric is a natural anti-inflammatory that aids in digestion, and can also help with nausea, period cramps, and more. It has an earthy taste, which makes it a great add in for rice bowls, soups, smoothies, and even a warm drink like my recipe below. This recipe is paleo, anti-candida and low fodmap!
I love that this is caffeine free as well. It’s comforting to have a warm drink without the energy boost–you can enjoy this any time of the day! If you really need the caffeine boost, add in a shot of espresso or chai.
- 1 cup almond milk (or preferred milk)
- 1/8 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- 1/8 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp monkfruit sweetener
- A dash of pumpkin spice
Pour almond milk into a pot and warm on medium heat. Meanwhile, add all of the other ingredients listed above (except for the pumpkin spice) to your mug. Mix together. Once almond milk is boiling, pour into your mug and gently stir with a spoon (or frother) until fully mixed. Sprinkle a bit of pumpkin spice on top and enjoy your vegan golden mylk latte!
Optional additions: more sweetener if the earthy taste is not for you OR some ginger for an extra immune boost
