Vegan Golden Milk Latte

March 23, 2020 by Liv Well Eat Well 4 Comments

free from: dairy, gluten, caffeine & refined sugar (vegan, paleo and Low FODMAP friendly)

This vegan golden milk latte features my favorite spice: turmeric.

Turmeric is a natural anti-inflammatory that aids in digestion, and can also help with nausea, period cramps, and more. It has an earthy taste, which makes it a great add in for rice bowls, soups, smoothies, and even a warm drink like my recipe below.

This vegan gold milk latte recipe is also paleo, anti-candida and low fodmap!

I love that this latte is caffeine free as well. It’s comforting to have a warm drink without the energy boost–you can enjoy this any time of the day! If you really need the caffeine boost, add in a shot of espresso or chai.

I used a frother to make this extra creamy.

Nourishing Ingredients

  • Almond milk
  • Vanilla
  • Turmeric
  • Cinnamon
  • Monkfruit sweetener
  • Pumpkin spice or cinnamon

Substitutions:

You can use any plant milk you want, oat milk would be amazing! For the sweetener, I used monkfruit so it’s refined-sugar free but you can swap in any you’d like. Honey or agave would be great too.

Optional additions: more sweetener if the earthy taste is not for you OR some ginger for an extra immune boost.

Owner of Liv Well Eat Well

I have been living with a few chronic illnesses since my early 20s. I aim to control my symptoms as naturally as possible, which means a lot of restrictions on what I eat. At first, I only focused on what I could no longer eat, but eventually shifted my mindset to getting creative with the foods I can eat!

I started this page because I want to help others like me who struggle with dietary restrictions and/or chronic illness and still want to enjoy food. Many of my recipes are some mix of gluten free, dairy free, refined-sugar free, grain free, and/or vegan–and I’m always down to help you adapt a recipe to your needs!
